APD investigates overnight homicide

ALBUQUERQUE – APD detectives are investigating an overnight shooting death in Southeast Albuquerque.

Officers were dispatched Thursday shortly before 11 p.m. to the area of Central Ave. and Vermont St. in response to a report of a male subject being shot. Officers located one male subject with a gunshot wound to the torso area. AFR ultimately transported the subject to UNMH where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
