Thank you for your willingness to help the City of Albuquerque prevent fraud, waste and abuse.

To report indications or suspicions of fraud, misuse of resources by City employees, vendors, or contractors and suspected violations of City policy.

About: Being Anonymous

When reporting fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement to the Office of the Inspector General, you may remain anonymous if you wish. However, you are encouraged to identify yourself so that we can follow up on your tip to obtain additional information that will aid us in our investigation.

If you give your name, your identity will be protected to the maximum extent allowed by law.

If you are an employee of the City of Albuquerque you have certain rights provided for in the Whistle-Blower Ordinance.

If you believe that by filing a complaint with the Office of the Inspector General you may be at risk of reprisal, inform the Office of the Inspector General of this fact.

Be as Specific as Possible

When reporting information to the Office of the Inspector General, be as specific and provide as much detail as possible: the who, what, where, when and why of the matter.

The more information you provide, the more thorough any Office of the Inspector General investigation can be.
